in that book Harry potter is 11 years old. but even then he is dealt SERIOUS circumstances that do not mimic that of a typical childrens book.
his family is slaughtered in front of him and a curse layed upon him leaving a scar, he is mentally and emotionally abused by an adoptive family for years before being taken by a magical fat man to a school where he can escape his woes.
this is not kid friendly to begin with and this is the MOST kid friendly harry potter book.
get off your high horse
