Rolling and dodging, lol, really?
Instead of giving the characters some evade spell like a blink or short range teleport to dodge attacks you gave them just a normal rolling to avoid attacks? So far the gameplay i've seen is pretty bad.

I don't know what everyone is expecting. The magic in Harry Potter was designed for children. It's magic system doesn't compare to stuff like D&D, Skyrim or Elden Ring. While I think the game might bring in some interesting stuff, I imagine for the most part, that the magic system will be SUPER basic and underwhelming.

Those are in the game too.
I know you're seething that the game exists. But try to be accurate with your complaints

harry potter is not made for children at all.

and the magic is actually quite involved and deep. look into it before speaking about it

It is far more efficient and economical to roll, or otherwise physically dodge, or use counter magic, or deflection magic than to teleport

Teleporting takes far more energy to perform. It takes precise concentration so you don't teleport into other people or objects.

An exhausted wizard, is a dead wizard.

the story just like the character evolves in maturity and consequence

in that book Harry potter is 11 years old. but even then he is dealt SERIOUS circumstances that do not mimic that of a typical childrens book.

his family is slaughtered in front of him and a curse layed upon him leaving a scar, he is mentally and emotionally abused by an adoptive family for years before being taken by a magical fat man to a school where he can escape his woes.

this is not kid friendly to begin with and this is the MOST kid friendly harry potter book.

get off your high horse

LOL. They start at 11 years old. Do you know the reading level of these books? 8-12 years old.
The kids grow up, but it started as some kids novels.

Elden Ring is one of the most popular games for kids and teens, its simplistic, sequence combat, without any core RPG mechanics.. its easy.
D&D´s system is much more complex and many games that use it, cut it down to be more simplistic, there are some very good introductions for kids, like Animal Adventures, but such a game is far more advanced, compared to any of the things mentioned here (its tabletop as well after all)

But HP is not made for kids, its made for teens <-- with each book, the book grow with its audience, from teen to coming at age, to finally young adult.
Setting wise it was never a kids story.
people are saying a troll for stating that harry potter isnt made specifically for children lol. its so ignorant.

L Takes and Bruh Moments.
Imagine calling a system that relies on dice rolls and dice rolls (RNG) only super complex. DnD was designed to be one of the most easily adaptable, consumer friendly and usable Table Top RPG system ever to sell as many copies of Rulebooks, Playbooks et cetera Dude, cleary, has never ever played a proper TTG with a rulebook with 3000+ pages.
