Maybe 3 days before

No preloads for the PC version. PC master race. But if you pay 10$ extra for the deluxe edition you get 72 hours of early access. Which means you can download and play it 72 hours early. No preload on that either. That just gives you access to the whole product 3 days early.

oh come on, Steam sucks for downloading games, lol. When I download from the Microsoft or Xbox store, my PC gets 300+MB/s.

On a day 1 release on steam, the best I have ever gotten was 20. Especially the first couple hours. Normally, Steam allows me about 50, but still no where near what Epic or Xbox allows.

it is however Warner bros fault that Xbox and PS5 get to preload the game days before release and PC not only don;t get a preload, but also get far later release time.

It has been a few years since I had a Steam game that allowed this. I think Steam may have disabled that ability.

It does kind of say the PC version is an afterthought. Later release schedule in the day. Not able to do both early access and a preload.

WB just seems to care more about the console versions of their games. Probably where the larger chunk of their sales are. But it's a feedback loop. They release the PC version of games in a bad state. It sells worse than console versions. It gets lower sales. They cut back on resources and care needed to help it compete with the console versions. Rinse and repeat.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, you have an issue on your PC then. I have fiber and I get the full 120/125 MB/s in Steam as I get on Battle.net/MS Store.

Stop blaming your issues/defects on something arbitrary, just because you lack the knowledge to properly analyse the problem and fix it.

Pathetic.

Steam servers are always terrible during big game releases. Don't pretend they aren't. What a weird thing to get aggressively defensive about.

That said it is easy enough to switch your steam download server to another region and get faster download speeds.
