Because people paid more specifically to get 72 hours early access. While we can now play a few hours less with the release date they have now set for PC players. This seems to many just false advertising and money making.

The official release is 02/10/23 at 10 am pst, so you're still getting access to the game 72 hours early.

I m thinking of refunding on Steam and get the game for my PS5. The only reason keeping me from doing this is modding ( if any ) and the fact that i prefer to buy any game that isnt console exclusive on PC. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
