for some people pre download is not as good as downloading at release time. Thats because the game has to apply patch to the entire game and if the game size is 100gb +, then it takes little more or less than an hour, depending on your hardware. On the other hand if you have fast download speeds, downloading the game at release time is way faster.

mine began downloading the game yesterday.
And got a warning shortly after that it will be deleted again due to no pre download allowed,

(how to activate it? you may ask. I did click download now several as in many several times)

I will bet 100 on they did not count for the massive traffic that day even probely seeing steam crash a few times.

If you were here the day gta V released i bet you remember the store page crashing the app along with people clicking download.

Can you do this?
- Get your external HDD,
- Install game on a computer with good internet speed
- move game folders to HDD
- back home, move game folders back to your sad-slow-internet-speed computer
- detect game then verify files

verify would be much faster ofc, then you have the game

I meant external hdd ofc, not rip out your sata lol

you will move game files to your ssd, or play from external who cares
