I don't think Denuvo is the biggest privacy risk here

Is this sincerely your first time reading an EULA? This is downright common

Just because it's common doesn't mean it's okay

Meta data is everywhere these days, its almost impossible to avoid it.
There's always gonna be data collection you can't avoid, I use Youtube for example, Google has direct access to my watch history. But I block their domains and cookies on nearly every non-Google site, so Google's ability to spy on my internet usage is mostly limited to their own platforms.
Exactly its crazy, and they sell it as well.

Half of you use Tik-tok and you're sincerely on here complaining about data harvesting. You play Fortnite, you use Youtube, you use Discord. And THIS is a bridge too far?

It is a reason not to buy this game.
Who wants to tell him most of his games already do this?

You're joking, right? You think you haven't agreed to this dozens of times already?

You THINK you do...
I know I do, and I think I know more about preventing data collection than a guy that believes it's not preventable
Unless you are using paper messages like Osama Bin Laden, your data is being collected by someone. . .

It's boilerplate language, because WB also has a litany of on-line titles. Don't expect anything more than randomized analytics to be sent back to WB to get a handle on performance, bugs, and hardware specs/OS version. There won't be any real-time monitoring. As there's no multi-player component (at least, nothing that we know of yet).
"randomised analytics"
we all know they infact arent as "randomised" as you like to think

I read the EULA and got annoyed that it says that a company or it's contractors has the right to monitor my computer while i play this game. It is an offline game. I requested a refund and hope they honor it. Maybe i will buy it on a console, but definitely don't want any corporation monitoring my PC.

You're still giving them permission to monitor your device even if you don't plan on doing any of this.
You do since well over 20 Years already.... why panic now?
Not if you’ve been buying physical copy games all this time.
Anutha_1 1 września 2023 o 16:09
Just funny all the people that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and complained when an EA game I am also playing required an Epic Store account to start playing it after the fact because so many are up in arms with what Epic pulled not that long ago but the masses are perfectly fine with this instead.

Don’t give me this they are two entirely separate things here BS response either. They are both invading your privacy after the fact, no matter how you want to tell yourself.
OfficerTerror 2 września 2023 o 10:51
complaining about this on steam is hypocritical as hell... Steam does the very thing your crying about. If you want they will erase your account upon request and you'll lose everything on your account permanently ya know since you feel so strongly about it lol.

id rather be tracked by the government who just uses my data to see how much tax i havent paid vs a bloodless soulless corporate machine that sells my data to :china: who then rootkits my pc and steals all my credit card info
whereas steam cant do that cause they have a main office in AMERICA and in AMERICA the government doesnt like companies selling data to the :china:ese for money, they gotta pay tax on that :china: privacy breaching data and thats actually why a majority of companies (facebook an eg) actually get in trouble: tax evasion
