How to make Hot Butterbeer For Release
So when me and my wife got back from the Wizarding World at Universal Orlando we wanted MORE butterbeer!! Our favorite was the hot butterbeer. She found this recipe online and it taste just like the real stuff. Here's the recipe for anyone who wants to make hot Butterbeer on release day!

Hot Butter Beer Recipe
Ingredients

2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 cups milk
2 tbsp butterscotch sauce - (Can be found in the icecream topping section of store.)
12 ounces cream soda (1 can)
Whipped cream and extra butterscotch sauce for topping

Instructions

Add butter, brown sugar, and milk to a medium saucepan.
2 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tbsp butter, 2 cups milk
Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Continue until mixture is steamy, butter is
melted and brown sugar is dissolved.
Add butterscotch sauce and heat for just a couple minutes.
2 tbsp butterscotch sauce
Add cream soda and heat a little longer until liquid is thoroughly heated through.
12 ounces cream soda
Top with whipped cream and butterscotch sauce.
Whipped cream and extra butterscotch sauce for topping

Notes

Because this drink contains dairy, you don’t want to walk away while it’s on the stove. It doesn’t need to boil, so heat it just until the brown sugar dissolves and the mixture is nice and hot. Want to cut back on the calories? Feel free to substitute diet cream soda, sugar free butterscotch or caramel syrup and reduced fat milk!

It just where I am I can only buy a 12 pack of cream soda cans and what's the point if I'm ever going to make Butterbeer once in my life? What am I suppose to do with the other 11 cans? The only other way is to buy a "big bottle" 2L of Cream Soda and use some of it to make Buterbeer but what do I do with whatever is leftover of the Cream Soda in the 2L bottle? No one in my household drinks it.

We dont have really have cream soda here in Scandinavia, is it a specific brand or taste?
"Real" cream soda is made by a company called A&W, but there are tons of other companies who make their own. Here's a big list[en.wikipedia.org] of the names it's called in different countries.
jesus. crazy how many brands sell it in the US. in the UK there is one company that make it, and it's the cheapest drink on the shelves. (i assume not as tasty as US versions)
59p in my local shop compared to a can of coke that's like 80p

Nah it really isn't. The dairy and heating process tame that down. The creamsoda is just for flavor. Cold butterbear is more like soda. hot butter is kinda like hot chocolate but better. Its hard to explain the flavor but it's good that's all I know.. lol.
Is there a recipe for cold butterbeer? obv I assume it's not just the same recipe as the butter would just sit on top and the sugar wouldn't dissolve very well.

Gonna try your hot recipe, but wonder what it's like cold as seen lots of bottles for sale etc but all very expensive.

Yep it's in that link I marked as the answer. She has alot of different Butterbeer drinks and food. Cold Butterbeer is just creamsoda, Butterscotch syrup and whipcream. Heres the Classic Butter Beer Recipe link https://funmoneymom.com/harry-potter-butterbeer/

just gotta hope that cheap uk cream soda will work. looks so weak (and it's clear) in the UK compared to the nice proper stuff in the US.

Wait... Was just looking in to this and learned for the first time... Cream soda isn't pink in the rest of the world?!?

It's always a pink color in Canada.... I'm curious now how that will work. Might taste the same.. but what will it look like? O.O

so pink in Canada, clear as soda water in the UK and seems to be brownish in the US. weird.
I remember the first time I ever bought it I imagined it would be cream coloured. proper cloudy.

I'm scared to try it! Im sure it will taste fine but, it will likely look like runny pepto bismol!

sounds good to me. lol
Maybe the brown sugar and butterscotch will make it browner. :/

There is joke somewhere about always going pink before brown, especially if it's going in your mouth...

why is that a beer there is no beer in it ? :o
Hopfen und Malz Gott erhalts !
I'm also in Canada and my own taste of Cream Soda was orange flavour. I know there some plain cream sodas.

But if I was to buy "Clear" cream soda (cans or 2L bottle) what would I do with the rest of the cream sodas because I will only make buterbeer once in my life and no one in my family drinks it?
Is Canada Dry made in Canada? They have a Vanilla Cream Soda.
