The Dark Arts Teacher
I'm kind of curious if one of the teachers will be a villain for this game. It's kind of tradition.

How many folks think by the end of the game we will put a dark arts teacher out of a job?

I dont see us doing that unless they wanna just make a joke about it. Seeing as the reason they had a new dark arts teacher in harry potter was cuz voldemort put a curse on the job making sure no one could keep the job for more than a year

I don't think the job was cursed. But it was a revolving door of sorts to introduce new teachers and story.

Something tells me the headmaster is the real villain.

It will be nice to have some third party out of Hogwart's teachers of black arkana, i mean maybe some quest to meet a secret dark arts teacher in deepths of a secret dungeon somwhere in the Forbidden Forest.

it was stated in the books the Voldy cursed the position. Dumbledore explained this to Harry in the 7th book.

"‘Oh, he definitely wanted the Defence Against the Dark Arts job,’ said Dumbledore. ‘The aftermath of our little meeting proved that. You see, we have never been able to keep a Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher for longer than a year since I refused the post to Lord Voldemort.’"

it was still a thing, There were dark wizards before Voldy, bit like saying there were evil men before Hitler. There were plenty. he just killed the most.

They don't teach Dark Arts in Hogwarts - it's called "Defense against the Dark Arts" :D

Anyway, I hope they're going to lampshade this by making the DADA-Teacher a sunny, butterfly-chasing guy and instead turn whoever teaches Herbology into a muggle-eating monster (=^_^=).

I believe the year is around 1890?

This. Also, in one of the trailer's the Datda teacher's last name is Weasly. Doubt they'll be evil.

The job was cursed but it was cursed by Voldemort when Dumbledore turned him down for the DADA job. Voldemort basically threw a fit and went “if I can’t have the job then no one can”.

1.The Defense Aganist the Dark Arts Teacher's name isn't Weasly, that's the Deupty Headmistress, The DADA teacher in 1890 is Professor Hecate

2. The DADA postion isn't cursed until 1967 so just after Molly and Arthur Weasly left school.
