What's with people saying Harry Potter is not for kids?
Have these people ever watched a Harry Potter movie before? The first movie is lighthearted. After the first film, the movies get darker and darker and more mature. There's obviously going to be some dark moments in Hogwarts Legacy. If you don't like that, then simply don't buy Hogwarts Legacy for you or your kids.

Do not fret these opinions. Their position is insincere and they are simply looking to negatively impact others. They are a bunch of Dursleys.

Harry Potter is a story that travels the years, aging with the readers of the time. I made the mistake of thinking Harry potter was like Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew, and aimed for young kids. The stories that J.K. Rowling wrote go well beyond and I am thoroughly enjoying the books now.

In addition, some books written for children can be loved by all ages. Just as The Hobbit was written for children and is a fantastic and timeless book for all ages as well.

Probably saw the dragon eat a guy or this one creep asking for nudity mods.

For some reason, I misread your post. What I said remains true, but it also goes to say for the younger age. Stories of this nature are family friendly. Like the Princess Bride, which can be enjoyed by children and adult alike. The movie was fantastic for that as well.

Harry Potter is more than a book for certain ages, but a creation of a new world and new ideas. In the end, they are still just Dursleys, looking to get a rise, and their words should not be taken to heart.

The game while based on the books might be meant for old kids as well. I think i got a teen rating. So meant for at least teenagers, anyone younger it would be up to the parents if they are ok with their preteen/child interacting with more violent darker content.

I love the emphasis on the importance of family and friends. Harry's dad and mom gave their life for Harry. His Godfather did everything he could for Harry, as did Harry's friends. There are so many great moral points in the books. Selflessness and courage is constantly forefront, as well as determination and not letting failure define a person. Neville is a great character that is astoundingly relatable for nearly everyone, as I see it.

I leave the parenting to the parents. Ludicrous I know..

The books started out kid friendly but got slightly less so each book. It basically aged with it's audience. By the last few people were dying left and right.

People who say there is no death in Harry Potter obviously never watched or read it all. I think the watered down LEGO games poisoned how people viewed the series.

J.K wrote her books keeping in mind her initial aging audience from her first book.

If you just watch the first movie or two it's easy to get the impression it's kid centric. A lot of the parents complaining about it probably never made it to the later books or movies.

But anyone who thinks the rest of the series is must be KINDA thick? I mean, seeing the movie promo posters for the last few movies with GROWN UP Harry,Ron,Hermione with grim faces ect... I mean, it really just shows they shouldn't be throwing opinions out there.

The Lego Harry Potter games we have had the past decade with their baby-centric gameplay I think only reinforced the idea.

I grew up in the 80's when PG meant something waaaaay different than it does now.

There were some topics in the books the movies refused to touch on. Like House elf slavery and Peeves the poltergeist. I know I seen Peeves in one of the gameplay trailers.

Yeah 1890 would have been long before she died.
