Oh No! It's a Boggart!

You are alone and doing some spring cleaning, when suddenly a boggart is before you. Feeding on your fear, it takes shape of that which you fear most! You pull out your wand and shout Riddikulus! Whew, close call.

What was it and what did it turn into?

I'm not even sure what kind of shape my boggart would take, as my biggest fear would be losing my family, which are my reason to live. What shape would ridikulus take to make up for that?

Boggarts must be "things" to my knowledge, not concepts. As far as your very real fears... The only solution is to reach out to others. Be it online or in person, reach out. The only cure for isolation and loneliness is company.

If Boggarts have to be things then that makes this quite difficult, as most of my fears are abstracts and concepts, not so much physical things. Hmmm... a wheelchair with myself or someone I love in it, representing a disability? Damn, my boggart would reaching with me...

Oh, I know! Tornados and whirpools. I've never seen one IRL but those things give me the creeps. Ridikulus on one would probably turn the tornado into a swirly column of flowers, with a nice scent. Whereas the whirpool would start spewing nice, soft things... like cotton balls! :)

Hermione had a fear of failing classes. Her fear was that Professor McGonagall was telling her she failed all of her classes. Boggarts are crafty critters. They are most vulnerable to laughter, the last thing a person would do in the face of terror.

I can understand. I have the oddly and lightly clothed cockroach stuck in my head now too. I am very glad that is not what Neville thought of with Professor Snape!

In Hawaii, the cockroaches are massive. While at the barracks, I stabbed one with a knife that was in the laundry room. It began to run away, dragging the knife. Craziest roach thing that I ever saw.

For me, however, it is a fear of centipedes. There are some centipedes that enslave tarantula to gather food for them. If the tarantula does a poor job, it gets eaten instead. We had massive centipedes in Hawaii as well. Additionally, they begin to eat their food while it is still living, paralyzed by the pain of its bite.

The centipede would be transformed into a long Newton's Cradle.

Mental note: Never going to Hawaii...

Hawaii is beautiful and I enjoyed my time there. However, it does have some interesting local life that is something to get used to. I have dealt with camel spiders, scorpions in the desert of the middle east, snakes and more. Centipedes will always be less desirable to me. The ones in Hawaii even.

I live in Australia, none of that stuff bothers me.. Giant Roaches.. Nope.
