JK Rowling's Failure to Represent Women: It's Time to Make Draco Malfoy a Woman

JK Rowling's Harry Potter series lacks female representation and agency. The main protagonist Harry Potter and his male friends hog the spotlight, while female characters are often sidelined or reduced to love interests. Even Hermione, the brightest witch of her age, is often portrayed as overly emotional and shrill. It's high time we re-imagine a prominent male character like Draco Malfoy as a woman, to add representation and depth to the series. Representation matters and as a society, we should strive for inclusivity and diversity in all forms of media.

i comlete agree. serius hermione is trash caracter and has no development in compairson to a draco malfoy for example. if draco was a girl the story would be so much better for real. i mean it is known well that jk rowling hates women.

There was plenty of bad fanfiction that did this back in the 2000’s just read something like “Becoming Female” where Harry takes a potion that turns himself into a woman and Ron becomes a massive sexist.

you dont get to chose if your a boy or girl when god brings you into this world ... its not the same draco should be rewritten as a girl and the movies edited as a society what in gods name have we come to.

Being honest? Draco would actually make a better girl than boy. I mean he already has feminine traits. The story would flow alot better and you are not wrong in making this claim. Hermione was a weak character yes that's obvious, but this idea that Draco portrayed as a woman? Quite original and deep, I like it.

Gotta agree on this one. I mean Hermione was probably the weakest female in the films, even Cho made more compelling moves than her - felt like she was only being used to move the plot. If Draco was a girl it would be so powerful and moving. I hope they re-write the series like this one day, even though it probably won't happen.
