I don't know why anyone cares what resetera thinks. It's a site that averages like 2-3k people online at its peak hours because they banned or chased away 70% of the people who used it. Any influence they have is due to people carrying it over from when they were on neogaf, back when forums in general were far larger and actually had influence.

Even most devs and gaming media people who were on era left because of how toxic the place is. They harassed john from digital foundry until he left because he liked some game that ended up having a minor controversy and for some reason it fell to him to justify his liking of the game. These people are just as nuts and toxic as the rest of the internet, just in a different way than most internet places usually go. They prove that you can be just as toxic without having to resort to using racism or homophobia.

They're wrong for doing that but extremism has to do with political views. If I apply your logicly evenly to an identical situation but flip the script, then calling them SJWs for not buying the game would mean your an extremist. That is untrue however and that logic doesn't work evenly and so needs to be discarded.

Out of all of the reasons ReesetEra are SJWs. Not buying a video game isn't one of them.

Not to mention we're generalizing a whole forum of users. The only ones that really know their reasons are themselves and the only way we could know is to ask them.

If we don't want to do that, then why are we talking about them at all?
