This is why hate speech laws are very bad, because hate speech is not defined enough, but i suspect it was done like that for this purpose, where you can make ANYTHING hate speech and will likely be used to silence any rival narratives or ultimately anyone who disagrees with your views.
I am personally looking forward to this game, i hope it is good.
I think since the law has been established 6 or 7 people have been criminally prosecuted for it? And every single one of those people prosecuted used language that was genocidal or adjacent to those genocidal beliefs. Like actual nazis using their newspaper to talk about the jews kind of people. Yeah, no. Trust me, I've seen a lot of Canadians use the n word in private because rural areas are just like that. Personal use isn't going to violate Canadian Hate Speech laws though.
i really doubt it xD
This ♥♥♥♥ is stupid. Do these people even think about where society is headed if we all just boycott each other instead of debating?
Everyone stuck in their little trench against hordes of perceived enemies. Simply ugh.
They know that what they do is so horrific and indefensible that they must never let the opposition have its say.
lol
I wouldn't be too concerned. These things never have any real power; they're just good for snagging clicks about an extremist minority who have nothing better to do than be outraged by everything for attention. Nothing gets clicks like negativity, especially when, I guess I'll call them journalists, are looking for a paycheck and the easiest way is giving a platform to a tiny hate mob which makes them seem more relevant than they truly are.
No one ever heard of this so called "Worlds biggest Gaming Forum"
I don't think they were talking about the forum but either way it's hilarious.
