so people could steal game content?
on the 7th of next mouth we all get to play it if you have the deluxe edition. if you only have the normal edition the 10th is when you get to play it

There is no need to pre-install Steam, it's actually been released already so you can just install the full version.

I have the deluxe edition. I was just wondering if us PC players will get to pre-install it like some people can now on Xbox.

Deluxe edition will work 3 days before, if you have the base game, it's very likely your game just won't start, but everyone will be able to download the game 3 days before.

PS: I did not read anynews last week until now, I just don't have much hype.

It's much easier to control access on console. If they allowed pre-install on PC, It would just be that much less time before the game is cracked and available to download illegally, or even just play the game more than 3 days early.

We're still two weeks away from the Deluxe Edition early launch date, and even further from the commercial release. We have no idea if there will be a preload or not.

You do know unless you are on dial up you will download the unencrypted files after launch day faster than waiting to decrypt the preloaded files.

Literally a difference between 10 minuets for after launch and 45+ (even on a PCIE4 NVME drive) decrypting preloaded files.

So glad games don't auto preload.

Do you even understand what Preload is?

That is your situation, other people's machines might actually do just fine with the unpacking, mine for example. Also, try to understand that not everyone has access to great internet.
"So people could steal game content"

Oh you mean this thing called "pirating"! Well, as it turns out, A) that has nothing to do with Steam and B) not releasing a game early != stealing aka piracy
