Big RPG fan, but never been 'in to' Harry Potter, worth a buy?
I do love RPGs and Open World style games, but i wasn't a huge fan of the films. Is it worth a buy, or hold out and see what the general consensus is?

And don't come at me with "JK Rowling bad".

Edit:
I should clarify i wont preorder the game yet, i was hoping for a balanced take. A good friend of mine thinks i would really like it, but there has been a series of disappointing games hyped over the previous few years.

I think it's worth to experience it seems like we have enough variety on spells and also can cast dark spells to so we can be evil wizard too. Also broom flight and mounts look fun to engage. Hogwarts has an realy beutiful architecture in the game it's has a nice warm feel and atmosphere that not many rpg games has. Most rpg goes with darker and gritter atmosphere. There is poitons and different magical plants you can grow, brew and craft and there is some building too. I mean I think it has enough content to experiment and role play to. And lastly you can take care of magical creatures too so yes it's probably worth it.

Too early to tell as you aren't really a fan of the franchise, but as i'm a fan i pre ordered it myself on GMG.

Yeah i cant disagree with both the last two comments, i will probably wait and see, i think my GF wants to play it as she is a fan, but isn't as much of a gamer.

The game-play clips look good though.

Yeah more than likely this will be the sensible case. I wont preorder (most) games now because there has been many awful over-hyped games.

steam seems to consider it a similar game to skyrim and ff14, ultimately we will have to see but ive seen nothing but promising features so far, world will be big and expansive, and far from limited to just the castle with some seeming branching storylines and moral choices. will probably be good for anyone that likes open rpgs focused on magic
