That's correct, but as already mentioned the game begins in 1890, 36 years prior to Voldemort coming into the world.

Voldemorts dad was a muggle that got r@ped through the use of a lovepotion after waking up from the lovepotions influence he left Voldemorts mother. Thats why Tom hates muggles. So no, i dont think his parents will be in Hogwarts. His father didnt know about magic and his mother was out about r@ping.

there is no mods in the foreseeable future. and there is no need of mods for this game.

Going off the books and things Rowling has said, it seems that some of his Gaunt ancestors did attend Hogwarts but then they stopped sending their children there due to them not wanting to mingle with the "half blood" students. Prior to Voldemort it had probably been well over a hundred years since the last time a member of his family had gone to Hogwarts.
