Has anyone heard that there will be romance options in this game?

No. They confirmed friendships but have said nothing about romance.

Makes sense to me, especially because we're playing as 15 year olds.

I understand not like "romance, romance." More like how the game Bully did it w/ out the pinching

The only thing we know so far is that we'll be able to form relationships with students and build upon it, but that's more or less a beat around the bush answer that doesn't really confirm nor deny the possibility of romance. That being said, keep in mind that our character is still a teenager, so don't expect anything more than hugs and kisses.
I was wondering if they'd do it like many JRPGs, without the sexual stuff, but given their silence so far, I'm guessing not...

Probably this. I can't remember what they called it in the Harry Potter books but I would be surprised if it even reaches kissing level.

If the game makes it to sequels where we reach the senior year I could maybe see some implications about post game romance, though I really doubt we'd get even to base boy/girl friend in this game, since it should be more the establishing friendships for this game and any sequels.

Hogwarts is a wholesome magic school, where you only have to worry about your child dying from the many many death traps.

Only if you are the deceased Lily and James Potter. It was Harry who was constantly dodging death because he had a megalomaniac wanting to kill him ever since he was a baby.

He didn't really have anything trying to kill him until his 6th year when he was given a mission he was meant to fail at to punish his parents that would result in his death.

Every year before that any trouble he got into was kind of self-inflicted.

In fact, I don't think there was ever a single incident before 6th year where Draco was ever in any serious danger, beyond Buckbeak attacking him, which was stopped before he got more than a scratch that he milked for attention, and that was because he had specifically ignored Hagrid's warning about hyppogriffs and wasn't paying attention when dealing with magical beasts.

I genuinely cannot think of a single instance where Draco's life was in danger before Voldemort was using his life to punish his parents.

15 years old are already interested and active. But since this is a game also adults play, I can understand they would not do it because of pedophilia reasons.

And 15-16 year old went on dates and kissed in the books and movies.
So having romance is entirely possible.

I wouldn't unless that mechanic could occur between your character and an adult npc. Teens kissing one another isn't really anything to be shocked about unless you're the parent of one of them

Same thought. :)

Not even then if you are a cool parent.
But it would be the time to have an awkward talk about prevention.

Even more cringe to have that conversation with your child and also with his / her friend. :ujel:

Is there no troll dad-emoji on Steam availabe? :steamsad:
