We need an online multiplayer mode!
Multiplayer as an optional online mode would be perfect for this game.
It could be like a magical freeroam experience with people around the world who study at Hogwarts. We could attend classes together, hangout in Hogwarts, shop at Hogsmeade, meet new people, explore the dungeons together, sneak into forbidden forest at night, have Quidditch tournaments, duel each other for the cups, earn house points and enjoy the mini challenges like Gobstones, collecting beans, solving puzzles etc. Its a dream of mine and many other people to have a Harry Potter MMO and this could be the closest thing we can get. Please consider this as a feedback for future updates. Thank you.

I am well aware the developers said it will be a single player experience, so no one expects a multiplayer mode at launch. This feedback is purely for later updates they can provide.

Edit: People here commenting like an optional; (available to be chosen but not obligatory.) mode for the game will somehow affect them. It clearly says optional as in extra feature, which means a completely separate mode that can be added later on and won't affect their single player experience whatsoever. And they feel like meddling in people's entertainment for something that won't have any impact in their experience, is just selfishness.

Np ;)
I'm glad there's no multiplayer. Let the team put the entirety of their efforts and budget into making a good single player experience, then perhaps later some quality expansion content.
Why do people constantly ask for multiplayer in singleplayer games? Are there not enough multiplayer games already out there?

Some of us don't have friends and enjoy being able to play by ourselves.

Oh but it very well could have made singleplayer smaller. It's not like it came from nothing. The devs would have to sacrifice singleplayer content or delay the game now to have time to make multiplayer.
And after the game's release it's the same story. Either singleplayer expansion of the story, quests, mechanics, etc. Or just focus their time on multiplayer. Singleplayer would suffer from that.
Plus there's a big chance that we'll get lots and lots of singleplayer content via mods which probably wouldn't be possible with multiplayer even if it was optional because that's just how it is with multiplayer games.
Here are few examples how multiplayer would hurt singleplayer content in this game.

I don't know who does what in Avalanche Software any source for your information?

They can - that's why I wrote "probably". But for a vast majority of games with multiplayer that I know of mods aren't an option. And even if they are those mods are usually very little like re-textures, etc.
I wouldn't want to share this experience with another. I know that is selfish but I want it to be my story.

If they do that they could make it like an assistant. In SWTOR you can go into other peoples class stories but you have no say at all your just a spectator.
If there is quidditch mini game, then it would be great if they can make it multiplayer.
MMOs these days, not so great. So I would recommend against it. I am pretty sure it will be a huge cash grab if an MMO for this game is done. So thanks, but no thanks!
The number of people here who lack the ability to understand what they read is truly shocking.

People here commenting like an optional; (available to be chosen but not obligatory.) mode for the game will somehow affect them.

Just imagine, there is a button that says Multiplayer somewhere in the menu that has absolutely nothing to do with you unless you decide to click on it but otherwise is just a text, and that bothers you for some reason so you feel like meddling in people's entertainment.

Going through comment section and seeing the triggered people was funny but I feel sorry for them.

I guess neither can you.

Firstly you speak in the name of everyone in the title of your thread and then pretend to be surprised that people that don't want multiplayer in any form in their game respond to your thread. Briliant. You should have said "I need" and talk with people who think like you.

I'd recommend reading again through the posts. You'll find a few examples of how even an optional multiplayer could hurt a singleplayer game. But that is irrelevant because Hogwarts Legacy is a singleplayer game only anyway.

You have an online multiplayer mode for Harry Potter. It's called Garry's mod.
