I get creeped out by guys who have female chracters.

C'mon, you where in PvE and when a female captain in your team talked, it was an old male in his late 40's-early 60's. You don't find it the least bit creepy? Even if he made largest bust size?

One of my STO character names is actually a play on the whole male playing female characters. Blonde, female, big bust, and big hips...her name is Amanduh Tucker. If after seeing this female character in game, and the hints from the first name AND last name are lost on you then you will be disappointed if you ever get to hear me on vent.

I dont really use MMOs as a dating service, and having played MMOs i make no assumptions about someones gender until i hear them talk on vent. If they type stuff out and say 'ohh i'm a girl teehee' i pretty much dismiss it and pay no attention to it. My main reason for choosing female avatars over male is because i can. I'm not a roleplayer so i dont relate to my character and i dont think he is me or i am him. Another thing too is i started out in these types of game when you didnt have a choice as to what your gender was. I played Diablo 2 and if you wanted to play a Barbarian you had to play a male...if you wanted to play an archer you had to accept the label "Amazon" and play as a female. Sorcs could only be females, druids only males, asassins only females and so on. But then i played WoW for the first time and i rolled a male dwarf hunter and then a male human paladin. Then i thought to myself 'hey i can totally play a female' so i did that without putting much thought into it. I wasnt trying to make some political statement, i wasnt changing my sexual orientation, I wasnt trying to trick people into flirting with me. I just did it because i could...

They haven't yet firmly established that boundary between "Real Me" and "Pretend Me" to the point that those can be radically different things. As a result, they cannot imagine anyone else being able to distinguish between "Real Me" and "Pretend Me". Notice how often people drag out that argument that if you want to PLAY a girl, you must want to BE a girl.

A) There's an obvious inability to draw the line between pretend and real, if (This) automatically equals (that).
B) It makes it sound like WHY WOULD ANYONE EVER WANT TO BE A WOMAN IF THEY HAD THE CHANCE TO BE A MAN INSTEAD? Seriously F**k those dudes. It's insulting to women, and they don't even realize it.

I have a male captain, and 3 female officers.. and then the token male officer.. I think it would be wierd to play as a female as a guy, so i stay male, but then i surround myself with the ladies! haha (male officer was a candidate so i just accepted him)

I had a level 3 KDF Sci that i just deleted and rerolled. In honor of this thread i am remaking that toon into a female orion and she will wear the bikini with the minimum amount of...uhh...accessories. She is also going to have all female orion BoFFs and we'll all be wearing the same outfit. And lastly i'm going to name her after one of my old WoW characters...her name will be Qtcutecuetee.
