That was the entirety of op's point, was that its creepy because the rolled it out of a sexual nature. So instead of * I just wanted to role play a female character* , you all replied *I like staring at digital female butts*.
And to the above poster.... :)
Well, I guess I'll have to bow to your expertise. Please define it for me.
I qualify when sexual preference takes place. Your use of 'at all' is redundant, and is vaguely directed at my qualifiers. By my qualifying when this occurs, I set aside exceptions. "I think sexual preference is a factor" by exceptions to your statement "Sexual preference is not a factor". And how I feel about those exceptions, the operative word here being 'creeped out', are not right or wrong, they're just how I feel. And, any comment about that is merely an opinion, of which I may disagree but respect your right to express it just like the hole in your logic.
Rule: There are exceptions to every rule, except the rule of exceptions.
In other words: Because people disagree with you, the thread is still active. I personally find everyone's opinion interesting in that it covers a rainbow of spectrum.
If you think that how one feels about something is a personal attack, perhaps you are an exception to the rule. What's wrong with a clever opinion? OTOH, I can admire your depth of understanding. Perhaps you understand what I'm saying, and disagree? I will admit, I felt your suggestion to 'not asking the question' was absurd. It offended my sense of reasoning. Perhaps if you know a way to 'unask the question' you would share it; because, I, thinking there was no way, thought your statement 'clever and rhetorical and showing a real sense of Mu. Was I wrong? Perhaps my mistake was in embuing you with a trait you don't possess? Please explain what problem you have with what I've said. If I took everything back I've said about you; and admit I was wrong; would that be correct. Should I "unmake the statement"? Or perhaps I only misunderstood that you meant Mu. You were trying to say that the dumbest thing is asking the question.
Just to clarify what I think: I don't think there are any dumb questions; just rhetorical ones, and dumb answers (for clarity that does also imply there are smart answers; but I was talking about questions). Is that clear enough? If you're saying the original question was rhetorical, well, other than the exceptions, I agree. Other than that... Mu! And suddenly the thread completely vanished.
I'm just going to take a shot in the dark here: English isn't your first language, is it?
I think it's more a case of someone trying to sound smarter than they actually are. Cyberpapa, if you're going to show off you're vocabulary, use the words right and have the grammar and punctuation skills to go with it please..
Like I said.. nerd wrastlin'
Doesn't "being yourself" kind of make the whole point of "role playing" games moot?
If I wanted to be myself, I'd go outside. This is a video game, and I can be whatever the hell I want. Male, female, human, klingon, anything. And if you don't like it, tough ♥♥♥♥.
