"heavy" cannons generally have a slower firing rate and more damage per shot. Theoretically they're equal to normal cannons over time... but that does not take damage boosts, crit boosts, or haste into account, so in practice they are usually better than regular cannons.

Right, but my point was... one type (unmodified) might fire 5x in a given amount of time with 100 damage per shot, while the other one might fire 4x with 125 damage per shot. Both of those would do 500 damage. But then when you throw in damage multipliers and/or time reduction, the 4/125 would creep ahead of the 5/100.

For example, let's say that between your build and CrtD mods on the weapons, you have 200% critical severity. This would mean that any hit that is counted as a crit is tripled. So the "heavy" cannon (in our example with 125 damage per shot) would be tripled to 375, while the regular cannon (100 damage per shot) triples to 300....

(numbers used are for mathematical illustration only and are not the actual numbers)

Elachi Sheshar Intel Dreadnought Cruiser or Elachi Sheshar Command Dreadnought Cruiser

5/3 helps me have all elachi canons and elachi torpedo on fore while elachi turrets on aft

but for 2025 event campaign i targeted Console - Universal - Enhanced Crescent Wave Cannon so i dont know which lockbox elachi ship go while using lobi elachi ship for now
