What has been your best mirror universe ship you have tried so far?

All the Mirror ships are second rate. There are usually only minor differences in layout of Bridge Officer Slots and device slots, plus slight tweaks to flight characteristics compaired to their normal universe versions.

Eh, my general advice for most players still learning the game is to pick up a mirror patrol escort. It's a solid, powerful ship that is hard to go wrong with. It's an excellent ship to learn the game in and figure out what kind of zen ship you'll eventually want to work towards.

In terms of stats, the mirror assault cruiser is unquestionably better than the non-mirror assault cruiser, and the mirror Vo'quv is a nice bridge-layout alternative to the non-mirrored version.

Lastly, and on a technicality(they ARE mirror universe), the Temporal Destroyers are very beastly machines.

I can vouch for the Mirror Patrol Escort, but only if you have the Multi-Vector Assault Platform installed on it. That's what gives it true utility.

It all depends on what you like to play in game, if you like to tank, you're going to like the mirror cruisers, if you like to buff/debuff, you're going to like the mirror science ships, and if you like DPS, you're going to like the mirror escorts. The mirror ships have extra power geared towards weapons, so they are helpful if you are going for DPS.

With the exception of Klingon Mirror ships, they're just the same ships as non-mirror ones with cross changed names and boff/console layouts. Mirror Patrol Escort equals Prime Advanced Escort with Prime Patrol Escort boffs and vice versa, so they're good for trying out other Tier 5 Starfleet vessels for relatively cheap price and yellowish paint option but that's all. Otherwise nothing special about them.

What's best depends on how good you are at building and using your ship, but to answer to the topic my personal preferrance would be Mirror Star Cruiser (for the looks of a real Assault Cruiser). Most of the game is about DPS and for that Escorts are the cheapest option. "Which one's better" depends on the player, not the base ship.

like someone else said above, the mirror assault cruiser is better than the normal universe one and they are all handy for newish players because you can get them cheap off the exchange if you want ships from different roles...plus cool paintjobs. another tip is if you like the boff layout of a normal universe ship, you can still buy the mirror and use the paintjob on the normal ship. only thing you lose as far as looks is you cant use the I.S.S. prefix this way

I realize it isn't technically a 'Mirror' ship, but it is a lock box reward ship. The Lukari N'kaam is amazing and it looks cool if you install some visual set on it as well.
