Duty Officer Assignments

Although I'm playing this on PS5, I'm hoping someone might be able to give me some guidance here.

Previously, I was able to send out duty officers on assignments no bother at all. Over the last week or so, though, I can select assignments for my duty officers but the 'begin assignment' button is greyed out. I've checked I have all the requirements and I haven't changed any of the officers, just left the ones pre-selected in. I did things this way before and didn't have any problems. Now, no matter if I'm in the Earth Spacedock or on my ship, the begin assignment button is greyed out and I can't send out missions. Any ideas?

I can't post in the forum - I haven't been in it for years so it's reset me to new user, unable to post new threads. (Never did understand that - it just encourages people to post meaningless replies to other threads.) I have sent a support ticket in though. Thanks very much.
