Star Trek Online

Worst MMO Ever Made
There are way too many people that defend this game for the greedy, money grabbing insult to Star Trek that this is. Its nothing like Star Trek and the power creep in this game is no so far out of control that balance would be a miracle. The graphics are dated, the game has no real interesting free features and the content this boring.

After 3 years of this crap, play EvE... Superior in every way and way more intellectual then this F2P P2W rubbish. This game went downhill as soon Atari went bankrupt and Cryptic, greedy as they are on their own was snapped up by Chinese sweat-shop owners PWE.

Get Star Trek: Bridge Commander or Starfleet Command... MUCH superior games.

"Game is bad" *plays it for 3 years*

Seriously, just because you are bored of a game doesn't make it bad. You look like all the ignorant WoW players.
this is just a troll
Haha I got like what? over 5 million people behind my back saying GET THE **** OFF STEAM.
Ok you know what? I Played Both of the games you listed, with every single, for well over 13 years. I play nothing but STO now, at least until it shuts down.

As for EVE: no thank you. I have no desire to play a game where my ship can be randomly destroyed by gankers just to lose it forever.

And while I may not agree with PWE all the time, Atari ain't any better. They went bankrupt for a reason. Could have something to do with the fact that Atari didn't make anything good since the 2600.

Go troll somewhere else.
Oh yes because if you don't LIKE something, its instantly trolling. The game is just bad, come on... the content is stupidly easy and limited and Cryptic are only interested in releasing more and more real money ships and technology. Infact, its a new ship that breaks the game in power creep each month. This game stopped being about Star Trek a long time ago and became an out and out money grubbing "make as much money of the stupid fanbois as we can" game.

There isn't that much "game" left to Star Trek: Online. When an MMO tries to change you almost triple the original price of the game for a bunch of Romulan ships... That's usually a warning sign with most sane people.
I agree with my counter parts. Take your Hairy Knuckle dragging self and release us from your venom. If you don't like the game then don't play it. It's that simple. I happen to know another game that is "GALXIES" worse then STO. A major flop right out of the gate. So, unless you want us to forever track you down and grab your keyboard and smash it on the ground. That way you wouldn't have to worry about playing a game you didn't like.
Hate to break it to you bub. But it's not forcing you to buy those ships. And I'm not sure you needa em to be competetive. I've played around in my soverign and I do just fine in pvp.

Not to mention it has not a learning curve, but more of a learning cliff, with a bunch of spiky learning rocks at the bottom.

They published the Ghostbusters video game a couple years ago...but otherwise the list of good games with the Atari name is pretty small. Their heyday has long since passed. That and they did cause the '83 Crash.

They just released a brand new ship, the Obelisk Carrier, for free.

Yes, a brand new ship that had a crap layout and nobody wanted and locked the good version behind lobi crystals like so shady drug dealer. You have absolutely no idea how venomous I can be after putting up with Cryptic's incompetance and greed for 3 years.

I dunno, I've been doing pretty well with the free version. I think it's just because you're terrible at the game, but you'd rather blame Cryptic for perceived faults rather than your own inadequacy.

In short, hate the player, not the game.

Take a midol.
I hate what all players have done to this game by buying the P2W crap and power from the C-Store leading to ships like the Avenger. Pure money grabs.

See, that's my point, you'd rather blame everyone else for succumbing to P2W instead of blaming yourself for just being awful.
Yah i kinda have to agree with diamond on a few points. But it's not like i can go play that other Star Trek mmo. STO is only an 'OK' game to me, it isnt great. The content is fine, but its not 'gomg this is fantastic' or anything like that. I'll keep playing it until i get really bored with it, or another game comes up that catches my interest.

Funny story about EVE though...a few months ago SWTOR was the game i was playing and i just played EVE on the side. Eventually i started getting bored with SWTOR...so bored that one day while i was leveling a new toon i just logged off and started playing EVE instead. The funny thing is when i logged onto EVE that day I got onto my miner character and started mining Veldspar in mid-sec space. I had a few other combat characters in EVE, but i just felt like mining that day instead. I guess i'm just weird like that hehe

You know, I want to go back to this one: If the game has made you that bitter, why would you spend three years and 2679 hours in the game? You're not "venomous" because of Cryptic, you're like that because you were willfully indulging in something you supposedly hate. Like I said, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Cryptic and PWE are BUSINESSES. They have employees who work hard all week just like you and me. We pay money for items and services in-game on a generously voluntary basis. This is the money these people make for the fruit of their labors, so they can buy things like food and shelter. Is it perfect? No. It's capitalism. By its nature it's exploitative. The distribution is never fair. But it is ridiculous to complan about a game trying to make money off the players. It grinds my gears when people complain about f2p devs but won't spend any money on the game. Typical modern disconnect from basic economic principles. I always put money into games I like, because I want them to grow and continue. We all have the freedom to make that choice. Don't like it? Don't play it.
