Looking for help with Cannon Build for Chimera heavy destroyer
Like the title says i recently bought a lifetime sub and am looking for a good build i'm guessing phaser cannons and turrets are the way to go. With survivability as well. Pve only.

Are you prioritizing form or function? Do you want to mix in torpedos?

Here's a quick collect-n-kill build, but you can really build it a number of ways:

If you have access to them, use fleet consoles instead. Use the 2 Eng consoles for whatver you like(gimmick consoles, etc.).

If you'd like to use the Uni for Tac, you can double up on CSV, APB, and THY with the Enhanced Bio up front(High Yield hits like a Tricobalt, 15-20k, with a massive AoE.. and none of the drawbacks).

Most people would build it as an Aux2Bat BFAW beam-boat these days though.

Thanks for the advice. Yeah I noticed everyone tend to make a beam boat with this but I thought I'd give cannons a try. The turn rate might be a bit slow for it, but see how it goes.

I never liked cannons, i mean some ships look awesome using them, like the Defiant class ships and the Birds of Prey ships, other ships, they just looked outright wrong.

They look stupid but hooooly ♥♥♥♥ did I start wrecking things once I switched to cannons from usual beams. Ive never seen shields go down so fast.

sure cannons can hit hard but put them on a slow turning ship you wont be able hit much cause your target would just move out of your firing arc really fast unless your a romulan and uncloaked on his rear.
