Assignment Buff

I have seen numerous people walking around or flying around with these 'Assignment Buff' buffs. I saw what they did and they seem to be very good. I was just wondering how to get them. I asked someone but all he said was you get them from doff assignments. I don't exactly understand what he's saying. I have done many doff assignments without getting these buffs. Could someone please explain how this works? Thanks.

Only certain Duty Officer assignments will reward them, but he is right, just complete some that do and it will apply an assignment buff.

Are they permanent?

no i believe they are 24 hours

A lot of them last for 1 hour after you turn it in actually.

Last for one hour and usually are awarded when you get a Critical Success on some of the doff missions.

The handy this is, that you don't have to accept them right away and turn them in. You can keep them for a good moment (say your fleet is planning a PVP event for example). The downside is, that they will still occupy the slots of your assignment limit (20) until you turn them in.

Is there a way to tell which assignments will give these buffs?

personal gives that, and if you read the txt it says in green what it gives, but the critical success needs to be high
