Unable to enter the Sol system

I finished the tutorial, rescued the colonists and fought off the Borg, then was ordered to Earth spacedock to meet with the Admiral there. I used the navigation "M" and double-clicked the Sol system so I'm at the right place but I haven't seen any way to actually enter the system from the sector map. No flag, windown or anything asking if I want to enter. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm baffled here.

There should be a pop-up window when you get close enough, but sometimes the autopilot doesn't take you quite close enough so check that first. Otherwise, try switching instance (field above the minimap) or relogging.

I found out I missed some sort of "menu" - that I never heard of to begin with - in the Vega system so I went back. Only thing is it wouldn't let me back in THERE EITHER! I give up. I get the impression the devs really don't want new people playing this one or else they wouldn't make it so mysterious to move from one mission to the next.
