Remember that Singularity Cores are used by Romulan ships only.
That is, you cannot take it out for a spin in sector space.
There are many sets with 'green glows'(too many, in my opinion). If you're refering to the set with milky/smokey green engine trails, that would be the Counter-Command Engines from the Undine reputation. Otherwise, the Counter-Command, Assimilated, Romulan, Delta and Breen sets can all give a ship green glowing parts. The Reman set is more of a Teal color, but could probably be lumped in as well.
"Warp Coils" are a commodity and used for various things - mostly Duty Officer missions.
You have a personal bank and an account. You can only access the personal bank while at a station or a player-summoned freighter(SS Azura, Suliban Cell Ship, SS Vow-something). You can access your account bank from regular bank places and the bridge of your ship, but you do not get any account bank slots freely without purchasing them.
You can fly your shuttle in sector space by making it your 'primary' craft at a shipyard(it's an option in the bottom left while talking to a Ship Selector) or by switching to it while in space(button in the bottom left when you bring up your ship's item slots).
