What's the point of gold-pressed latinum?

Latinum is purely for "for fun" items as well as decorative piles of Latinum for your ship's bar.

Hew-mons don't have any use for GPL, obviously. If you were a Ferengi, though... you'd be knee-deep in naked women. Granted, those women would also be Ferengi... so its not always a win-win.

i had a massive pile of latinum and bought the biggest trophy with it. But yeah i wish there was more you could buy with it on the vendor.

we should first.. be able to visit the planet of ferenginar and also, any and all shops there accept ONLY gpl.... and there should be a reason you bother to get the gpl for those items. certain things only found through them. and useful items too, not just trophies and holo emitters... maybe buy slaves through them and the orions? lol bribe ferengi for certain reasons... just tossin ideas

Greater thread necromancy aside, you can in fact already buy slaves from Orions using GPL. Not if you're a Starfleet goody two-shoes, of course; but KDF does have a doff assignment for just that. It generally just gives to the same garbage prisoners as any other Marauding assignment, though.

While an old thread I would like to add, on DS9 you can find a Ferengi who is used to accept duty officer trade assignments, some of the assignments require gold-pressed latinum.

Move the Ferengi outfits from being a Lobi purchase to a high value GPL purchase (like 400k) and everyone's happy

Party amp is pretty much good to spend your latinium on , costs 100 each and you can annoy players with it with instant dance party , pair up with balloon gun for ultimate experience
