ZEN ships
I want to buy an ingame ship with ZEN. but I dont know what happens if i buy a ship in a higher tier then my lvl. I am confused because those ships dont have any requirements. if anyone could clarify this for me i would appreciate it.

If your level 50 (or higher) you should be able to fly any ship out there (if I remember correctly).

If your below 50, you can buy them but won't be able to use them till at least 50. Usually whatever ship you are looking at will explain, somewhere, what rank is required to fly it (once again, if I remember correctly).

If your not level 50 yet, I would suggest maybe playing till your a little higher than 50, see what different ships and ship types are all about, then make an educated decision....instead of just buying a ship you might end up disliking. Just because a ship looks nice, does NOT mean you will like flying it for long.

I can't seem to find the requirements for the ZEN ships anywhere. I can find it for all the other ones but not the ZEN ones. For the ship i want to buy however. i've made my choice already. I took one week to decide my ship and doing research on the ships.

ZEN store ship purchases are account wide. Meaning all of your characters will have access to the ship you just bought (older characters or future ones that don't even exist yet).

Faction restrictions apply however, meaning a Federation character cannot use Klingon ships and vice versa.

So doesn't really matter what the lever requirements may be (typically L50 for T5/T6 ships) as you will eventually hit those reqs anyway.

when you buy a zen ship if you don't meet the lvl requirement it should appear in your inventory as a "special requisition pack" most likely bound to you to prevent selling. that is the given assumption anyway, you should be able to get any ship you can afford.

You can never trade or sell a Zen based ship anyway so that's a moot point. Zen ships are accountwide (but still locked to factions - Can't use a Federation Zen ship on a Klingon)

I wouldn't recommend buying anything but T5 and T6 ships - T5 ships will require an additional 700Zen "upgrade token" to upgrade them to compare to T6 - also known as T5U.

The tokens CAN be traded and sold - In other words you can buy one on the exchange for something like 70mil EC.

You're basically just paying for a Retrofit of the ship which is just a fancy way of say "getting a new skin" for you ship.

There are plenty of ships with unique looks. What on Earth are you on about...

Indeed, and different ships have different abilities; from hull strength, over speed/turn rations, to what kind of stations are available. Some have hangars, or other abilities you can use. To call them simply "different skins" is a galactic understatement, and quite frankly wrong.

You CANT buy a ship with higher requirements than yours. The CSTORE will not let you. So, you should not be worried about that.

This.

You can observe this during the anniversary event when they're giving away freebies. I had created a klingon last year just to claim the KDF ships and was unable to get a couple of them due to tier requirements.

This isn't true with any of Q's events though as far as I can tell. Both Winter and the current anniversary ship were possible to get (not use) on characters as low as level 5.

When I bought a main C-S/Zen ship and a shuttle, all of my chars could partake in getting the same type of shuttle, I have only one char over Lev 50 and one close to 50, I'm wondering, once I get my other chars over 50, will I get the same type of ship my first Lev 50 got? Because it's doing that for the shuttles...

Yep you understood, buy something in the C-Store and it will be available to every char in your roster/account once they get to the same Lev as the one that bought the C-Store item first...

If you buy a ship dont bother with any but the T6's and then I would caution you that even those will be made to suck within a year or two.
