Chroniton Torpedo Launcher X2?

When upgrading my Commen Chroniton Torpedo launcher V to Vl it upgraded to rare and Became Chroniton Torpedo Launcher Vl [Dmg] X2 and im wonndering what X2 means, dose it mean it fire's 2 torpedoes?

The x2 or x3 modifier in an item description is a multiplier for a single stat. As it is written as [DMG]x2 means that it has two DMG boost modifiers. A [ACC]x2 would signify two accuracy boost modifiers. A [ACC] [DMG] would mean one Accuracy and one Damage modifier.
