Need Help with Mission: Starbase 24

I am trying to do this mission, but it's not allowing me. It says it is a lvl 3 mission, but the when I go to the star base, I have to wait in a que... And we never get 10 people to show up... How am I suppose to do this mission?

I read from other people where they did it by themselves, but I don't see how to do that. That was back in like 2010 though so maybe they changed it?

Any advise?



Also, when I am at SB24 there are other missions but I have to be in a fleet or something. I guess a fleet is kind of like a clan, but I don't get it. Fleet marks??? what?

ignore it, it's just your introduction to PVE queues, just abandon the quest and move on with the storyline, and don't worry about marks untill you've hit level 50, or found a fleet.

Yeah, as uni790 says, you can ignore the mission as it is an introduction to the Player V Enemy (PvE) system and not necessary. The only way people solo it is to set up a private instance of it or have 9 friends join and quit, leaving only themselves to run the gauntlet.

I finally got in after a long wait. It sucks though, that the game doesn't tell you that this is going to be a PvE event. Luckily I'm not a complete noob to MMORPG's but I'm not hugely experienced either.


It's just weird that the mission doesn't specify that it is PvE since I have another mission and it says that it is a PvP.

Also, I did research and yes, in the past, people could run this by themselves. In fact, there was an entire ground mission portion. But they changed it later..

It took some digging, the only information I found was from a cached google search page, that wouldn't even load unless looking at it in cached form.

I used to play when the game was newer, and the Starbase24 had a continuation of the mission where you beamed over and completed a ground mission then had to beam out and fight once more to finish the match.
