pathfinder is an intrepid
No it's not. Pathfinder class is different from the intrepid class. The pathfinder may have the intrepid skin, but that doesn't make it an intrepid class. It will still be distinctly a pathfinder class ship and NOT an intrepid class ship. The only T6 intrepid class ships available are the t6 fleet intrepid, and the tenth anniversary bundle intrepid. There is also a t5 intrepid but who wants a t5 ship? Point is, Intrepids and pathfinders are not the same thing. Like how the guardian class isn't a galaxy class kind of thing.
This is almost all false.
Babylon 5 was actually sold directly to syndication for seasons 1-4, and season 5 was on TNT (a cable channel). It never belonged to Fox or WB network (which is not the same thing as Warner Brothers studios), but because those networks didn't provide a full schedule at the time, a lot of Fox and WB (and UPN) stations filled in non-network time (none of those networks provided Tuesday or Wednesday prime-time programming at the time, so this was the preferred timeslot) with syndicated programs (this may be what happened in your local area; at the time there were also a vanishing few truly independent TV stations that ran all syndicated programming).
TNG and DS9 were actually direct to syndication, too.
In my area (San Diego), the local Fox station used to run TNG and DS9 back to back, and then (after TNG ended) Babylon 5 and DS9 back to back... on Saturday afternoons, not on Tuesday/Wednesday nights like a lot of other Fox/WB/UPN stations did... because it was technically a foreign station (XETV 6 out of Tijuana, which was a Fox affiliate until 2008.. and the "ETV" part literally stood for "English Television", it was a Mexican licensed station broadcasting from a Mexican transmitter in English) and there were some weird legal issues so they couldn't directly download and broadcast like US-based stations do, they had to record the program and then physically export the recordings to the transmitter control station (XETV had an office complex in San Diego and one in Tijuana, but the downlinks were all in San Diego and the transmitter control room was in Tijuana... the recordings had to be physically carried from one to the other and they're about 30 miles apart).
Voyager was always UPN - in fact, it was the *very first* program on UPN - the network went online on that same January 16, ran a very short (I think 15-20 second?) announcement, and then faded directly into the opening scene of "Caretaker". (I used to have a VHS tape of it, but I no longer have a machine that will play it...) Also, that January 16 was a MONDAY.
Unless they change it again lol
However, the Pathfinder will (assuming this giveaway is treated the same as a zen purchase) unlock the zen-ship discount for the Fleet Intrepid.
And the Guardian/Galaxy is not the same thing - the Guardian *can't* use a Galaxy skin and *doesn't* unlock a discount on a Fleet Galaxy.
The fleet ships don't unlock unless you're in the correctly provisioned fleet. The pathfinder is still not an intrepid. They should have gifted an intrepid, or the maquis raider instead.
Terran Sirius, Terran Cygnus, Federation Yamato, federation Andromeda CAN all use the galaxy skin but non of them is a galaxy any more then a pathfinder is an intrepid.
Happy now? lol
Please actually read what I wrote and understand it and argue against it, don't assume you know what I "really meant" and then argue against that assumption.
Of course you have to be in a properly provisioned and leveled fleet to actually GET the Fleet Intrepid, just like any other Fleet ship. Didn't mention that because it was beside the point and any sane person would think it didn't need to be actually said in this context.
I also never said "pathfinder is an intrepid". That was other people.
What I was saying is that owning certain Zen ships activates a *discount* on a specific matching Fleet ship, and that the Pathfinder does so with the Fleet Intrepid.
You're the one who tried to compare Pathfinder/Intrepid to Guardian/Galaxy... not me. I was just saying that the two ships (Pathfinder and Guardian) aren't the same at all in their relationships to the other two ships - one does the fleet ship discount and can use the skin, and the other one has neither of those things.
I'm "happy" when people are actually correct in the information they are giving to new players. You have not been doing that in this thread until after you get called out for giving wrong information.
Also, the EMH is one character only.
Please read and understand the entire comment before replying. ;)
