Star Trek Online

The Feb 20 Update broke the game
The Feb 20 update seems to have utterly broken the game for me, and I've tried just about everything I know about to fix it. Whatever was done has caused continuous and repeated disconnects and rubber-banding so severe as to make the game damn near unplayable; I ended up standing on the OUTSIDE of Starbase 1 it was so awful. I've had to restart the same patrol a half dozen times because the disconnects.

what is your specs? the game works perfectly on all of my systems.
what did you try to fix it? did u switch proxies in launcher options?

Where are you located?
Lessee, I tried reboot, router reset, tried both proxies, tried force verify, tried forcing a fully fresh install, and I tried to set my game up outside of steam only to find that I was locked into Steam and can't get out without abandoning characters and progress, and I've found the Arc website less than helpful. Rubberbanding and disconnects persist. I'm running Windows 10 and launching the game via steam. There are no graphical, gameplay, or crashing issues, the game runs just fine. It's all in the connection, or complete inability to make one.

Hells bells, I even tried flushing the DNS, but all I see is you all over the forums like a rash any time bad connection comes up trying to gaslight and blame everyone's hardware because "it runs perfectly on yours."

no , we know of some probs amd offer workarounds, servers got replaced already - we simply cant fix it for everyone.

I get it. But if the problem is something server side, or the server picking a fight with my ISP, it doesn't help for some people to go telling me it's all in my hardware. Generally speaking, the game looks great and plays smooth on my PC.

If the server has just been bogging or picking fights with major national ISPs here in the US, let me know. Honesty and problems is a lot easier to take than blame and problems.
here in norway there is never any issues. my internet service provider have some issues from time to time but, that affects all online games and not just this.

I am in the USA South, no issues with the game. Generally. I am behind a VPN most of the time. And log in using steam. Its been like that for years.

What I can theory is that perhaps Europe has gone against game developers for micro transactions, gambling type situations or other problems that will result in STO being prosecuted or perhaps the Nation whose player is having trouble banned STO at their level.

What you could try to do is a USA Proxy source location closest to Boston Mass. And try to log in from there. When the game thinks your connection is from the area of Boston it should be very friendly with your computer and you.

My specific state banned people from inside our state from reaching certain webpages online due to location by law so the servers of the content either banned my state entirely or I use a VPN to bypass the State Ban by location by logging in from another state thats not affected by those silly laws. Its a good workaround.
