Unable to authenticate: Lost connection to Account Server
Just me, or is something fishy at Craptic?

Same here. It's occasionally happened before. Usually I wait a bit to log on and the servers are back up.

on a Wednesday? They normally do that on Tuesdays or Thursdays...

obviously. the server is down for maintenance. i just checked it myself. not only that but, the account server is down too.

i have no problems in the short term with DECA doing unscheduled maintenance, because they are actually fixing things in the game which they deem 'critical' .... that's for our benefit. last months one where they un-nerfed pulse phasers for example, also took care of around 40 other issues many of which were long term left by cryptic.

That's something i'll be happy about. Hope they work on communications too.

one thing i hope that they fix is the bloated launcher. the launcher executable tales over 200 megabytes.

there is a few times where both servers needs to be taken offline. this is one of them. i always have something to do however and i was not planning to play until later anyway.
