bridge officers, they are all male but when you scroll to "edit record" button on their inventory screen etc, it says she instead of he, I figured it's a bug.
Human
If it was a transgender person it wouldn't look male but say she, it would just say he. So HA! And apparently, transpeople are quite common is star trek as by at least deep space nine the operations were so good that quark was turned into a full complete female in one day. And even a man couldn't tell the difference even when quark was naked lol!
And as far as trans-people in trek go on a serious note, the trill were created specifically and intentionally as an analog for transgender people back in the year 1990.
And Trill are about reincarnation.
Yeah, it doesn't make sense lol, my Klingon male is shown as "he" but every other person on my crew shows she even though they are male and they are of different species, a mix.
I figured it was a bug of some sort, possibly overlooked. Not that it impacts gameplay in any way.
I did buy all my bridge crew team off the auction house though, they weren't acquired through the game's missions as rewards. The Klingon male was gifted as a reward from a mission and it got the pronoun correct but the ones I bought off the Auction house, have the wrong pronouns even though they are male.
Edit: seems the cause is somewhat tied with exchange
