Obtaining extra energy credits?
I'm in a situation right now... guess I need to watch some videos, but I really don't feel like it. So I'm out of energy credits again (lol) after purchasing some massive doff upgrades for my build, and it worked. Except I ran out of "cash"... So how exactly can I get more quickly? I currently get most of them from completing all endeavors and doing the daily event to make progress, selling obtained items along the way. Doing lots of TFOs can be boring sometimes, so I tend to avoid it, especially doing multiple TFOs in quick succession 2 years ago... I'm burned out, and mostly just play the event (dumping things into there to get more powerful when playing the event). What's another best way to keep getting energy credits (without doing TFOs over and over again) or should I just wait until the next day to do endeavors cuz I find doing multiple TFOs boring? Thanks in advance.

Edit: I am doing Doff assignments all the time as well. Most of my Dilithium issues have also been solved, by doing DOff assignments and events after completion.

I would run some of the patrols that have a timered self-reinforcing wave, if you have a good build you can rack up a lot of kills and thus a lot of loot. I've had single patrols that resulted in 400K or so EC after visiting one of the good vendor NPCs.

The patrols that are good for that are: Kern, Kinjer, Imaga, Terrh systems and Briar Patch. There may be more but those are the ones I remember.

DOFFing and Admiralty can also be good for earning EC. If you're Klingon faction/allied, DOFFing can produce Contraband and you can resell that on the Exchange, last time I looked it was going for around 40K per unit.

Crafting items for Exchange sale is a much slower, but viable, method too. Usually the best sellers are the +weapon energy damage consoles, particle emission plasma torpedoes, Conductive RCS consoles with certain mods, Exotic Particle Field Exciter consoles with certain mods, a couple other things. Also, weapons, particularly those with CrtD and/or Dmg mods... beam arrays with [Pen] mods, beam banks with [Pen] mods, dual/dual heavy cannons with [Pen] mods, omni-beams.

Most crafted items don't have a direct EC cost to make, but you'll need the raw materials, and in some cases special DOFFs (which are re-usable).

I think u should just run Missions like Wolf 359 or smthn and sell the drops.
Works for me, but i guess/hope some Vets have way better ideas.

I'm assuming you mean selling on the exchange... Can't believe how stupid I was for not doing that earlier and selling the stuff to Ensign Lessa on ESD instead...

Assuming you're flush with commodities and have the correct DOff's, you can try crafting some very rare items and selling them on the exchange.
That still costs ec, right (not in game right now)?

i suggest you do the dailys and admirality stuff , those have a relatively high percentage of rewarding good amounts of credits
but setting sell orders in the exchange is also a good place to get some cash

Max out your reputations, once you're at tier 6 the hourly missions will give you double the dilithium. So then you do that, open the boxes, and sell the stuff at one of the vendors that pay you more. Also you can do Admiralty for credits. And you can buy commodities at the cheapest vendor (look on the wiki) and then go to the trader on DS9 and do the doff missions to trade for EC.

Unfortunately I have enough Dilithium reserves, it's refined Dilithium I'm lacking because all of that is going towards equipment upgrades and reengineering atm.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I already sell items via NPCs (usually Ensign Lessa at ESD) rather than recycling from replicator. I'm probably making a bad decision here, but I don't like repeating the same thing every day except the event, so I might just be signing my own demise here and making this discussion pointless as a result :steamfacepalm:
admirality is useful, specially if you manage to critical the assignments with energy credit rewards. then you can sell stuff on the exchange.
do the patrol Rescue And Search in The Age Of Discovery over and over. It drops gobs of loot that you can sell. Couple that with doing the See The Galaxy daily challenge, and you can farm millions and millions of EC a day. Or you can be lazy, and manipulate the exchange by buying up things cheep and reselling them at a markup. Keys are the best way. Start with 5 keys, sell them for EC at just under the going rate. Use the profits to buy up the cheapest keys, then resell them for more than you paid. If you hang around the exchange on weekends you'll get drunk people selling 5 or 10 keys in one bundle for 12 million EC, and some people will post 5 or 10 single keys for 10 to 11 million each. Snap them up, and resell them for just over 12 million each. You can get a billion EC in one day if you're lucky and do it right.

it is possible to craft equipment and sell it. you can craft mark 2 equipment and then spend a little dilithium on upgrading it. then you can sell it on the exchange. i have no further ideas however.
everything, farm the engineering missions that award items, they are spread out and a lil over 24h. also try to avoid the exchange for buying doffs that you can farm ingame for free. exceptions are the ones not from fleet credits or from expansions.
but do whats fun to you and dont stress.

I've been using the exchange for doffs I can only obtain from a lockbox or zen store... I really want to get a doff that has a chance to heal when being hit while using draw fire, but I can't find it on the ezchange and it's a lockbox trait.
