Star Trek Online

Is it possible to use more than one account?
I have alternate sto accounts. but when i open the game i don't have the option to enter a username or password to log in, it automatically enters the account linked to my steam account. Is it possible to use more than one sto account on steam?

Not on Steam. But if you have the Arc launcher installed, you can input your email/password there each time, and you could change those around to switch accounts.
Yes, if you make a shortcut to the launcher in the STO directory, you can run multiple accounts on the same computer at the same, depending on your computer hardware.
That's what I was afraid of. Steam lightens the storage footprint, it's only 520 MB on steam...but If I install arc and STO it is a massive hit. at 65% it was already over 25 GB. That's outrageous. Especially when I already have it installed on steam.

The game is not just 520mb on Steam, that's the launcher, Steam basically provides the launcher, starting that the game will be downloaded.

But as Running-Target said, you should be able to directly start the launcher from the Steam directory, then login into the different accounts. Starting the game dorectly via Steam will always load the account connected to that Steam ID.
agree with neithan, what you could do is activate "on demand patching in the launcher options top right afaik. and then not go or play anything unimportant, bc it will dl the missions as you play em, scattering the files on your hd. normally if you leave your pc it can defrag automatically beginning with the latter windows versions, unless you turned that off.
i sincerely hope you have the directory with those 65% still left , bc you can insert em in the games folder if done correctly and it should check that at launcer download start.

o m8, outa curiosity, are we talking laptop here or steamdeck?

Thank you... I tried using the shortcut on my desktop to open instead of running it through steam, but it did the same thing and bypassed the login. But I read your suggestion and I right clicked the STO icon in my steam library, went to properties, and under the Installed files tab, I clicked browse, that took me to the file location, and i simply opened the sto icon there and it worked. I was able to access the log in thing. I didn't have to change any settings or do anything else. You saved me alot of time and effort. lol
of course it worked. it is what i usually do myself. i have 3 profiles and only 2 of them is tied to a steam profile. the last one i need to run that way.
