Reputation ground gear.
So, I am wondering what people think of the reputation ground gear. Without being enemy specific, I have been doing pretty well with the Delta gear. But are the beam weapons the beast? I ended up going with the Exploit weapons and traits. But just burning them down with a mini gun seems to do well also.

What do most fo you use? There is such a massive amount of items out there, I was hoping for some opinions and why?

Anti Borg - MACO set or Omega set. Benefits of MACO set are that after you get the full set, you can then buy the Adapted MACO set (very good against Borg).
For Klingons, people seem to rave about the Honor Guard set.

I've heard the Counter-Command is good

I personally am old school so I am getting Omega ground sets (AFTER I get the Universal Console Assimilitated Console + Kinetic Cutting Beam) on all my characters...BUT as soon as each of my characters reaches level 60 I am going for the Romulan Imperial Navy set that you get from the mission Uneasy Allies (I think). I heard that set is nice.

For weapon, anything that compliments your set, or just have someone craft the TR116 (the really good ground weapon you can craft at level 15 R&D Ground).

Hope that helps.

The adapted maco is the fed version of khg right?

I really should try some of the new sets myself. I run maco/adapted maco/khg on my characters for ground and havent really tried anything else yet. My klingon got his through the rep, but my two feds had to get lucky drops to get thier sets and then I picked up adapted after in the rep store.

You can slot the set items as a rep. project ?

I don't think there is any other way to get them. They feel expensive, but really i think it takes way less time to grind out a set than it did trying to get them as drops.

If you are lvl 60 or you done the mission before when it was the "Weekly-Bonus-Mission" go for the Romulan Armor/Shield/Tool from "Uneasy Allies". It is a good starter set till you have the badges for the stuff you want.

In general I find that getting all the Ground Gear Set's is far more worth while than the Space Sets, anymore. As Adventure Zones for ground based non ship content increases having the variety to compensate for a number of tactical situations is very useful. For yourself and any BOs that can escourt.

I personally love the delta set, the final bonus piece destroys all machines within a large radius. You can instantly kill a ton of herald robot things, and in rh'lo u can waste the beginning machines and the obnoxious spiders as well. Helps if you have kit modules that lower cooldown. Was very surprised when i first tried it on the herald ground pvp, the first blast from that ability shot my dps to over 4k. Ability also disables ranged weapons for a few seconds.
Very very good against enemies that use machines.
Plus if your enemy is exposed your secondary attack gives you an orbital strike.
