i just dont know how to do it, and how to attract more players with it.
otherwise deca might simply pass on it.
so crowd source some ways how this can make deca more money. prep a good suggestion on the official forums in the suggestion subforum and actively work to gently convince ppl of your option.
over here we can only make some smoke but we are more a selfhelp group for players helping eeach other.
weve mostly been where you and other are coming from- ive distrusted the lockboxese for a long time b4 i noticec their stuff is sold on the exchange too.
the game needs good wikis and ppl taking others by the hand leading it through its pitfalls.
mind you i could also use a offline version of it too sometimes.
but it doesnt ruin ppls mind and wallet like scopleys star trek fleet command,
its events arent impossible to win like star trek timelines.
compared to those its a winner.
for everything else moddb has the option to look for mods instead of base games.
if the mod name includes star trek theyre easier to find.
mind you im not sure wether vega strike is hot yet.
albeit starfleet command 3 exists i ve never made it run on modern systems and it aint on steam anyway only the first version imo.
So let it be written, so let it be done!
The only way in which a Foundry mission could excel was with a better story than an official mission, but if you want storytelling there's massive amounts of free Star Trek fanfiction out there to download, and you can read it without the annoying dialogue boxes and with a much more versatile graphics engine called your imagination.
