this was what i saw ............. >.<

It looks like there is a problem with your registration information. It is possible your IP is banned or you are attempting to create an account from an unsupported region. If you believe this is an error, please contact support.

I found this on Arc's support site:

https://support.arcgames.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1635/kw/Disabled%20region

Looks like Hong Kong is a banned region by Perfect World.

They deemed in their wisdom rather than improve security just ban half the world form playing their games, including Russia, china, japan, hong kong, korea and im unsure on australia. In short way to lose 50% of the world guys and some of the biggest MMO playing countries.

Well to be honest you should know why you cant play .See the chinese Leaders (Im not sure about the people) Have very strong negative views concerning Time Travel.I'm not sure why though you might know though. If you do know, i would love to hear the reasons from a non contolled/censored sorce. But there is alot of things about the game that relates to time travel. And as someone has said its your leaders that are preventing you from playing. I have wondered a few times why they even bought the game in the first place. It strikes me odd buying a game that your people will not be able to play.

Finally, found someone having the same issue with me. I'm also playing Steam games from Hong Kong. And I can tell that, it's not the government who blocking the game. It's something about region related publishing rights. Because the publishing rights of Asia region is under Beijing's Wanmei (NASDAQ: PWRD) control. And PWE is just a subsidiary company of Beijing's Wanmei. So they have to follow the rules set by Wanmei to not letting Asian players to play PWE's games. Included STO, CO, Neverwinter, etc. (This game did not have IP block before Cryptic Studio acquired by PWE in 2012.)

You guys cant play PWE's American version of Perfect World International either. Just like we arent able to log in to PWI Asia servers either. Not sure why they do this. I know PWI China vs PWI US is a lot different. US version probably rips people off more with cash shop and micro transactions lol. Since PWI has become a full Pay 2 Win game now.

But the case of Cryptic's games are different. Since Cryptic didn't have an IP block policy on Asian countries. Many players had brought Lifetime Subscription at that time. However, they all now blocked by PWE. This may be violated in law that the content provider strip away the rights of those Lifetime Subscriber.

As far as I'd played this game. I think PWE has started to ruin this game by turning it into Pay2Win. Since they adding so many C-Store content that overwhelming those non-Zen ships. This will change the gaming environment and the power balance.

If anything they are going to get a lawsuit filed against them from me! When I bought the game years ago during the games beta, lifetme sub, I was sold on the promise I would be allowed access to the game for the lifetime of the game where-ever I am unless the U.S.A has a trade embargo against the country which HK and even China they don't, at least not currently. Unless I get a refund for all that I spent on this game, the subs, the purchased cryptic points, the atari points, etc... I'm not going to be a happy chap! PWE should have considered this fact when they acquired Cyrptic and the STO game. I will also be considering writing a letter to the Paramount the IP owners because this is a slight on their brand, I don't expect a lot to come from that on its own... but you never know. Very very annoyed!

Somewhat ironic when I attempt to go to perfect world's website, firefox browser security features tells me it's an untrusted site! I nearly bust out of my seat laughing!

As an avid Star Trek fan who knows pretty much everything there is to know about Star Trek, I was sorely disappointed when I was banned from playing here in Taiwan. You know, for a game that's all about open diplomacy and universal peace and exploration, the message PWE is sending to the world that half of them can't play is the antithesis of Star Trek's uplifting and continuing mission--more than just exploring new worlds, but living together in harmony. Except the Borg. Those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ have got to go. And in this case the Borg are PWE with their high and mighty Zen store p2w items and region-banning. Resistance is apparently futile.
