- Buy one from the C-Store. Those will cost 2000 or 2500 (20-25 $) Zen depending on which one it is. Some of those have 10 console slots, some only 9 (just like your current ship). Choose wisely, there are some truly great ships on there.
- Get a lockbox or lobi store ship. This will either require A LOT of patience or money. I wouldn't recommend this option unless you know you are gonna stick with the game and absolutely want one of these. Drop chance for lockbox ship is around 0.5% per box, lobi ships are 800 crystals each. Since each lockbox also contains lobi crystals, you will be looking at 200 opened boxes max for 800 lobi. Buying either of these ships is easier if you use the exchange and buy them from other players. EC cost is extremely high though.
- Join a fleet and get a fleet ship. You can buy the required fleet ship modules for EC or Zen. Most ships cost 20.000 fleet credits and 4 modules, some 5. These are always ships with 10 console slots. Modules are 500 Zen each, but can be bought on the exchange too. Should you own a RETROFIT version of a fleet ship from the C-Store (!) that ship will cost you only 1 module (very important if you plan on having more than 1 character).
There are some retrofit ships you can get for 200.000 fleet credits, those do not require fleet modules. However, these aren't any better than what you already have, but don't cost nearly as much.
- Sometimes theres events going on where you can earn a ship, keep an eye out for these. These events include the Winter and Summer events, as well as the anniversary one.
I bought the Assault Cruiser and use it now instead of my Fed Cruiser because it heals faster.
However, if you can manage to get the Q thing done (which is almost over), you'll get a Dyson ship for free that has 5 crew slots and is pretty fast.
Same here. Picked it up when I was only 12, I think, and I've been flying it ever since I hit 50. It wasn't until I hit 50 on my KDF officer that I realized that you don't get a free ship at 50.
yeah, i was a bit pee'd off at that myself
I found out later that there are 3 variants of the Odyssey, one for each class.. although the one i got in the event was i believe an engineering variant, though I have filled all three eng consoles with +X Turn rate bonuses (about 35% in total) which makes it infinetely more manouverabl, plus added dual beam weapons so i can now out-turn most similarly sized vessels and give them a good spanking up the wazoo when i (finally) get behind them :)
