Star trek Online Crashing Due to a Fatal Error
When i load up the game it brings up the loading screen that says Star trek online and then it blacks out and i get a Fatal Error Message that says "Fatal Error: Direct3D driver returned error code (DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED) while checking sync query. Technical Details: Sync querey 14 0x7825d80 GetData == 0x887a0005 0 532 after 49507616 iterations D3D11 Device removed due to DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG 0x887a0006" Please help in any way possible

Safe Mode helped Karaoke King, can be found under the adress noted.

I fixed this, go into options and in the command code thing type in "-d3d9" hope this helped

anyone have a fix for this that doesnt involve dx9, had been using the command line edit for a while but was informed that as of march 2017 cryptic will be dropping dx9 support for sto

maybe try direct3d x10 see if the game runs by typing -d3d10 in command line options.
Otherwise run dxdiag and check or reload directx 11.
You could still use the dx 9. I don't think STO will drop using dx 9 completely after that date. But i suggest you keep trying to use dx 11. Maybe change your video card to a newer model and different more dependable brand would help also.

By the way, what is your operating system installed and what is your video card you are using?
