Ground combat weapons do not fire!

HELP! Ive been playing the game with no problems, then all of a sudden my ground weapons arent firing...

The icons are greyed out and there seems to be a blue kind of electrical surge around my phaser, which suggests that Ive been hit with a weapons malfunction, but it hasnt gone away...

Any suggestions? Im New so sorry if this is not in the correct discussion group?.. :)

Do you have the same problem if you exit the game and return to the same situation? Which mission are you playing?

Yes it still happens even after logging out etc. Im (trying) to complete 'What Lies Beneath', but as I cant shoot anything its proving hard!

It has to be a glitch with the weapon malfunction. That blue electrical surge around the phaser doesnt move. Something is stuck!?

You tried un-equiping, then re-equiping?

I had a somewhat similar experience with space weapons on an OLD character a year or two ago. Couldn't fix it with the weapons I had, but fresh ones were unaffected. I hate to ask, but have you tried that?

I have gotten rid of my weapons and bought another, no change...

Your best option is probably to try support then, hope it goes well for ya.

Having same issue for last couple of weeks directly after a patch Thursday, very annoying. Originally happened on my AoY toon, changing to any ground map completely diable my Primary, Secondary and Tertiary firing/abilities, 1,2,3. Temp solution is to have your UI saved from you main toon or preferred UI layout toon and then go into you problem toon and Open Options (Minimap) and under HUD Tab, "Load UI" or even go to tab andjust select "Cancel" at bottom, this seems to bring weapons back on but only temperalily. They can even go offline again when changing to another area in same mission etc. HTH a bit but really annoying.
Have sent a request for Help on this matter a few weeks ago and have heard NOTHING back as ever. Very annoying.

you're going to feel stupid after this... in your big personal bar... check what is under row 1 item 1 2 and 3. lets say your weapon has pulseweave and arcwave. Pulseweave being primary and arcwave secondary. IF THOSE ARE NOT IN POSITION 1 and 2, then your weapon WILL NOT FIRE. so to fix this you need to click the box that has view all abilities on the tooltip and find your weapons attacks and set primary to row 1, box 1 and secondary to row 1 box 2. Hope this helps.
