Best loadout combinations of sets?
Hi, i want to know what reputation, r and d or missions to grind to get the best loadouts.
So far i use a quantum hitpoint build (30% extra quantum damage), 2 20% damage all beam attack consoles, grav torp, new butterfly effect set, aegis.
I was thinking mainly counting on 2 wep 1 console sets, i have 3 epic universal consoles and the delta weps set 3 look nice. Any ideas for a good combo of sets and items

You're going to receive a number of very strong opinions on this, I promise. But first, you're going to have to tell us what ship (wessel?) you're using.

Oh im using an andromeda exploration cruiser, i wanted it to be kind of wide spread thought so anyone will have the idea except just me learning

First, the most important thing here:

http://www.stoacademy.com/tools/skillplanner/

With this tool you can build, share and show your ship.
To make a ship actually good you need to consider everything. Boffs, weapons, gear, everything needs to work properly together so your boat won't become a shipwreck. With this you can show people exactly what what you want your ship to be and it's easier to discuss and give advices while seeing the whole thing at once.

A few base lines here:
your ship is a whale, torps may be still be okay to wield but dual beams and even narrower weapons are a no go. Broadsiding with 6-8 beams would be your best option.

Seeing you mention a whole lot of different sets and energy types....drop that.
Just use 1 energy type. If you want to use the full butterfly set then use all tetryon, if you want to use the full delta set then polaron, etc, etc.
While a lot of universal consoles work for almost everything such energy specific sets just don't mix well.
The reason for this is how the tac consoles work. + [energy type] consoles give way better boosts than just + [beam] and it really does make a difference once you have more consoles that stack properly.
That said, drop the torp console. It's way more effective to boost your beams with 3 x 30% (90% in total) tac consoles (energy specific, mk12, very rare) than your torps and your beams by only 2 x 30% (only 60% in total).

Also be aware of your limited boff space. Some powers are pretty much a must have like tactical team to distribute your shields automatically, hazard emitters to cleanse most debuffs,
emergency power to weapons because your beams will drain your weapon power rapidly, and much more stuff.....

Actually the consensus is this; DPS rules, and DPS is best served by Fleet class equipment. Among the 'Sets' it mostly doesn't matter at all which you want to use in any given situation. If there is a set that matches the particlar enemy content, that set will have some advantage over other sets. Otherwise again , pick your preferred color and sound effect, and run with that.

I'm not really obssessed about dps, i equipped 2 100 damage turrets and a cannon spread boff to maximise it, with the console that comes with it im more depending on survivability, thats why i chose aegis, im trying to make my weapons sets that deal tonnes of damage when you have the full set so if i have the isokenetic cannon (delta set) then i can just be a tank and use it to do damage for the damage im lacking.

And my fleet wont promote me (even though ive earned 55000 fleet credits (which is the requirement) and so far im waiting)

Thanks guys for your opinions, i used to use tetryon damage only and 26% tetryon damage, but when i started getting mor eoptions for rep and fleet (which im waiting on) i thought why not try something fun and different

your types going to be based on your set as you will get the most bounciness from them. with some exception on lock box guns for example my elchie croissant cannons do over 500dps eatch one there own with no modfyers. they are probably very expensive now. the best free ground guns are the radent antiproton assault rifle it fires like a shot gun and hurts alot.

I only got the aegis because i had a frickin butload of ec and wasnt full level on any rep, plus ive got like 60000 dilithium that when i try to refine i just earn it back again lol. As soon as i hit tier 5 im going strait for rep, iused the aegis to combine it with the butterfly set

I long ago gave up asking for a costume slot so you could set ship graphics to one set and use a diff set for the stats.

the radent gun has a hi base and second kockback dps also hi its not the same as the other assult guns the semi auto style. yea i agree with the mini gun to. and i was talking free gear not rep gear. ill have to try the Undine wrist lance i may have 50 lobi from reruns. i dint get my elcie guns from lobi i got them from ec when they where lockbox items and people sold off there extras.

Thanks for your opinions, for my starship i did what you said, 1 set and beams, i LOVE the voth so i bought all antiproton beams and turrets (along with my gravimetric torp, and 2 console of 30% antiproton damage) the only things that rent antiproton are my antichroniton infused tetryon, with full wep power i do 700 dps per wep, thanks for your support
