Why is this game so expensive?
What are the reasons behind charging 143 Euros, that must be one of the most expensive games on Steam. I have never payd that much for a game and I never will, who will?

As said, the game itself is completely free.

What you are looking at is most likely either Delta or Romulan bundles which is just a big stack of ships and stuff (most of which are utterly useless btw) which you can buy if you want to. Cheaper still then buying all included stuff separately.
You are looking at DLC store bundles in the steam store, game is free to play.
Please dont give them any money.
give them money all your money. but relly with grind everything is free.
Grind so epic it will blow your mind.
but its free 2 play what your seeing is steam packs or extra things. stuff like ship packs etc but relly for that kinda money there steam packs suck you can just buy lifetime. but you can play for free just fine.

and the lord sayith NO to the blasphomy of money for it is the devils armpit that make us covet thee..REJOICE HARKEN to the holy scriptures that they tell thee humble gamer.."all that s#'t is free u just gotta grind that ♥♥♥♥♥" Enjoy
Arrgh censorship of a word used to describe a female dog............what next "Hello"?
well to be honest i been a Life timer since the beta and well this game has become insanely grinding and expensive.
I remember when Dstahl said "we are now removeing emblems and other ♥♥♥♥ to make it less confuseing and grindy."
now we have like 999999 diffrent types of marks and ♥♥♥♥ right back where we started.
this game was good and was really good long time ago. but now im afraid its a cash cow.
out of 10 things that come everytime they patch only 1 is usually good.
they even removed the omega rewards you got from the elite stfs so getting space weapons take hours upon hours instead of minutes.

they also reduced dilithium gains across the board. :/ sucks
they also reduced EXP gain across the board getting to level 60 now takes ♥♥♥♥ long time compared to before.

regarding OP... Bwasaaaahaaahaaakahahhahahahtthaaiaaoapaapaahhhh!!! :) You just sparked the most intense argument this side of the universe! This is an age-old argument that will never be won, that is until you see my video which just happens to coincide with this post. In fact, I was about to post the same OP remark. (Not really)... I have to return to this post later. My new video is up at YouTube: Captain Ricco. It explains the whole concept of the "Free To Play" theory.
Reeling with laughter over the remark about the devil's armpit. Check out my video on YouTube about the devil's toenails... "Hail My Toenails" BTW... this game is free to play until you get borred of the standard equipment and common duty officers. To advance to the top of the universe you must grind. But, in order to have some fun you need to buy some Zen. Lots of Zen. a hundred dollars every month doesn't even seem to be enough when you have 3 characters that all need money. Tons and tons and tons of money. Never mind buying ship bundles and stuff like that, just the cost of a Very Rare Shield Distribution Officer will bankrupt a year's worth of Dilithium mining profits alone.
Perfect World Entertainment, and many, many players willing to spend $30 for a single ship.

Game is full of Life Time Subscribers, many of which tell the players that they can get anything in the game with just grinding (you can but it's extremely unreasonable).

Any argument about how hilariously broken the game is is quashed by the Community Manager.

I addressed most of this in my review:

Nothing worth mentioning. 500 Zen a month allowance, a few account perks, little else.
