Quite fond of the Quantum Phase Torpedoes for relatively quick firing torps. Lately I've been favoring the Triflouride Maelstrom Torpedoes, they are slow reloading but they do a lot of damage fairly quickly, Plus they leave behind crystals that give you a boost, which is nice.

The quantum phase torpedo looks attractive because of the shield drain, but it has a longer reload time than the quantum torp :steamsad: thanks for the suggestion though!

I like the Kelvin Photon as it has a Quick Reload, pretty good Damage ( at least 5,000 ) added with Torpedo Spread III that is Devastating to a Ship

It might be locked to me because it might be from a lootbox?

i adore the phaser-energy torpedo from the phoenix token store , it scales with phaser relais and profits from its damage bonus

Malestroms two And a rear photon for the dakka. I play alot of Home Episode farming endaevors which means many of the enemies go to the rear. When I reach Odo's ship the malstorms clear them by the cloud.

I keep a variety of torps on hand for a variety of endaevors. However I based Photon for the dakka and pens. My shuttles have clouds of these. Wreck a PvE Battleship in a few rounds of fire.

Having two Malestroms (Spelling) up front means you can hammer anything Just takes a while.

Attributes on torps are usually pen with the CritD on the rest. It seems to work for me.

Phaser quad cannons and a couple of other torp (Sets) and consoles will generally clean up after the torps.

It's been a while, but refresh my memory - I thought that you said in one of my earlier posts not to have a rear torpedo usually unless under specfic circumstances/builds?

If it's rapid reload time you're after, then the Ba'ul AP torp is the way to go.

Photon torpedo has the same reload time :steammocking:

Most items come as bound-to-character if they are episode rewards, reputation rewards, event rewards, or come from a ship.

Is there actually any benefit to using the basic photo torpedo launcher? I currently use the TOS version to fit with my build, but I asked because I was open to the idea of switching. Wouldn't ones with procs do less damage or have lower DPS to be better balanced?

i do not even use torpedoes in most builds but cannons and turrets.

I'm a noob so I don't know anything and am no position to suggest, much less tell you, how to make a build. But as far as I know that's like a bad idea because you lose a lot of dmg potential once the enemy shields are down. Bet that a lot of the veteran players would definitely disagree with me though. But the philosophy I follow/learned is use energy weaps to take down sheilds then torpedoes to deal hull dmg because it's more much more effective against hull than any energy weapons. From what I've heard you only need just 1 torp on a beam build in your forward weapons, any more (especially in back) is a major waste and detriment to your dps. Torpedoes compliment energy weaps increasing dmg potential, as long as you do it right.
