connection to login server - timed out
this is happening over, and over, and over, and over again. Managed to login ONCE, but was kicked out for some stupid reason, now wont even let me view my characters. This is becoming more and more annoying.

Check your network, firewall, anti malware programs for interferring with STO. Read the official STO website troubleshooting forum here. https://support.arcgames.com/app/games/detail/a_id/4120/p/100

Try opening the Options, Force Verify before you hit Engage. It will check to see if all your "ducks are in a row" aka. All your files for the game are updated and correct. You might have a corrupt file or missing files. Sometimes when they do patches or updates it can mess up your files.

nope, verifying did nothing, still automaticlly times out no matter what. Very annoying becausejust a few hours ago, I had played a few missions, soo no idea why the login server is sooo bad atm

so, this makes no sense. Decided to try the US proxy server and I instantly logged in. Loaded back up to the normal login server, and it still consistantly fails to login.

Have you checked your security/firewall settings to see if it is blocking STO? I would suggest you use CCleaner and run that you can get a free copy. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner. When you install and get ready run the top two options repeatedly until you get NO more errors. The only other option I can think about is to reinstall the game over the present location. Let me know if any of these things work.

I did find a solution, using the proxy server under the options menu. Its sad I have to even go there.
