Zen Selling Probation Period
I bought some Zen (luckily only 500) about a week ago so that I could power up my Romulan character (leveling up ship gear each level with the hope that it will become ultra rare). However, I've been stuck for ages now because the game won't let me sell Zen. Evidently, Arc sees buying Zen off Steam as suspicious behavior and they wait for the "check to clear" before you can use it according to searches I've looked up.

However, it has been about a week. I don't mind Arc making me wait to avoid fraudulent charges resulting in more Zen being available on their in-game market (which is flooded with dilithium due to the developers creating an artificial and thus broken cap on dilithium to Zen rates - but that's another issue). My bank shows the transaction has complete. . . anyone know if I just wasted $5 bucks or am I eventually going to get to use it?

I am a lifer, theres 500 zen that hits once a month. Provided I offer the zen for 500 dil per theres no problem.

I have not put anything into the game for almost 10 years now.

As I understand it, the delay is usually no more than a few days, so contacting Cryptic would seem to be justified. Scuttlebutt is that it is faster and more cost-effective to buy Zen through Arc ... supposedly the price is better.

Regarding the Zen Exchange, it is no longer flooded with Dil and has started selling for less than 500 Dil per.

As for upgrading, watch for the official events - usually Red Alerts - that offer Ultimate Upgrades as a prize. They are worth the small effort involved.

Only during sales or if you buy in bulk - the small amounts are the same during non-sale times. But most announced sales only apply to Arc, and they also offer bulk discounts for larger purchases.

But.... I have seen it announced that the delay can be up to seven days. If the OP thinks it's been longer, then contact support.

Everyone has had to go through the probation period its only 24 hours if it does go beyond that point then submit a ticket.

It was over a week when I sent that. It took around 10 days before I could use Zen to buy dilithium.

Garbage system.
They managed to take the money out of my bank instantly but it takes 10 days to validate the purchase? WTF? Even paper cheques only took 3 days back when those were a thing. I am only a few days into my lockout and all I can say is that because of it I have no intention of purchasing any more. I don't reward games for inconvenience on this scale. 24 hours is understandable for several reasons not the least being I suspect they have encountered chargebacks and such in the past but any longer in a time when most transactions are almost instant is entirely nonsensical. Also this was not a CC purchase so being treated this way is unacceptable to me. It did say something about a period of time when I purchased it so it's not like it's unexpected but the timeframe is a joke.

No more cash from me ARC...

Oh and my account started 2008(ish) so it's not like I am new or anything.
