The color pattern is completely random 3 digit for the first one and four digit on the second. I guessed the 3 digit within about five minutes, I spent thirty minutes on the four digit.
If you exit the quest at the console point he progress is saved to there.
Unless you need the quest for Delta Recruit then I advise just skipping it for later.
Still not fixed.
When I tried last night everything was reset.
That said, it's not the only issue that turned up since last week's "update" - one of the Nimbus III missions ("Cleaning House") is suddenly shown in my journal again, but fun fact - that mission is just the final part of "The Undying" and thus not startable without it (it says to enter Nimbus space but all that happens when you do is that you enter Nimbus space in the multiplayer instance and that's it, no mission starts, no instance for it, nothing) - and yet Horace offers it to you (even after the whole Wasteland arc was done by my toon months ago - and guess what, I checked: he even offers it on Nimbus directly) ...
Not to mention that the journal glitches all over the place occassionally since the "update" (you start a mission or a mission update comes in and then the mission tracker at the right stays empty for a while) - also all my ships' loadouts occassionally get deactivated and the ships' slots end up empty when entering New Romulus space for example (also happened once when I started/entered a patrol - BAD timing) ...
Oh Craptic, why ... ? Imagine what happens in 2 weeks when they will come up with the new episode and the T6-X2 upgrades ... guess the game will face a total meltdown then!
Go to the episode with the mission.
Then it should say "hail" and "skip."
Click skip and it will bypass the mission.
Btw, a fleetie told me today that this is not the only bugged mission - the insufferable "The Vault" mission also suffers from a current glitch in the final act, where you can't finish the mission bcs the hail from your allied vessel doesn't trigger and thus you can't destroy the final enemy Warbird ...
Skip just allows you to move on in the episode journal, it doesn't interfere with you doing the mission in the future in any way.
