Just updated today after not playing for 2 days. Is anyone else getting the error message "unable to start game client client quit unexpectedly"?

the account is an arc account either way. if you use it through arc however, you need to use your arc login(email and password).

for all ppl thinking it s a steam problem, i have a friend who play sto on steam and his game was working perfeclty BEFORE the patch and still work now after the patch.... so it s a problem for a lot of unlucky guys, we are 3 friend on sto, me via arc and the 2 others via steam and not working for me, and working for half of my friends....

any fix so far? I have the same issue of initial author, that I cant load main menu. If I click on "Engage" an STO Launcher I get the message "unable to start game client client quit unexpectedly". On my other PC the game works fine. But that has a much lower performance

i know that it is not steam related. i have deleted the game data so that i can reinstall everything. that uncovered possibly more of the issue. seems that the game is trying to format the harddrive each time it starts. of course it is not allowed to do that. multiple attempts at patching have seriously capped my bandwidth so, if reinstalling the data does not work, i give up.

on the neverwinter forums (same issue) they mentioned that the scheduled maintenance had to be rescheduled due to technical issues, that it would take some hours before they can do it. no details.
